Bow Thruster

One-way clutches are used as backstops to prevent reverse rotation of the thruster’s

propeller when not in operation. Units with centrifugally disengaging sprags offer a solution

that can be easily incorporated into the drive gearbox and under drive conditions, operate

contact free to ensure a very long operating life.
